Welcome to Nutrition With Namal
Yamuna Brahakmanage MS RDN LDN
I am a registered dietitian nutritionist and licensed in Florida. I have over a decade of experience providing nutrition services both overseas and in the United States. I firmly believe that food can serve as a medicine, especially when you are planning to have a baby during pregnancy, postpartum, or beyond
Apart from a nutrition career, I am a mother of a ten-year-old girl and a four-year-old boy. I have my journey and experiences, and I know I was struggling to find evidence-based nutrition information to maintain a healthy pregnancy, how I can regain myself and my pre-pregnancy weight; my milk supply isn’t enough, what to do.
It is unsafe to consume herbal products, especially during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as most of them never test for safety
After years of experience working with pregnant and postpartum mothers, I realized the bitter truth that most mamas never prepare their bodies to have healthy and don’t know when to start their vitamin and mineral supplements to avoid congenital disabilities or how to manage and maintain both mom and dad mind and healthy bodyweight to conceive a baby or when to start prenatal visits.
It’s common for new moms to spend more money on unnecessary supplements to increase their milk production and reduce their stress or postpartum complications, which can address through whole food.
After thinking about my journey, I am searching for evidence-based research findings for you, and our nutritional counseling information is up to date. Also, I realized that one size doesn’t fit all the mams, as you all have cultural beliefs, pregnancy histories, food preferences, food allergies, and intolerances or medical issues. Therefore, our nutritional approaches are individualized and simplified to cater to your requirements to achieve your goals.
